Anna Scotko Scovern

Joy filled, loving, and caring Anna Scovern peacefully went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 31st 2023. She made the Journey surrounded by family in her home in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was born in Karthaus, Pennsylvania on July 12th, 1959.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edward P. Scotko and Effie Young Scotko. Anna is survived by her husband Jeffery Scovern of 41 years and Son, Joshua Scovern. She is also survived by her sister Christine (David) Goosen, of Paullina, Iowa. She has multiple nieces and nephews: Cloyd, Leah, Curtis, Madeline, Kylie, Kurtis, and McKenzie.

Anna was a beacon of comfort and compassion for all who she knew. She was the most kind-hearted, loving person who the Lord placed in the lives of not only our family but the lives of many others. Anna’s expression to everyone was “It will be okay, God is in control.”

Anna’s Celebration of Life will be held on March 4th at the North Raleigh United Methodist Church at 2pm. Her burial service will be held in Osceola Mills, PA at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a future date. Friends and Family will be notified. Please check back for updates.
