Millicent (Millie) Louise Amitrano, Chapel Hill, NC

Formerly of Pine Street Franklinville NY, died in Chapel Hill, NC after a long illness. Born October 23, 1922 in Franklinville she was the daughter of Peter Martin and Mary Cappelletti Maffei. On May 26, 1945 she married Anthony A Amitrano who predeceased her April 11, 2012.
She was a graduate of Ten Broeck Academy and a resident of Franklinville for 96 years. She was a parishioner of Saint Philomena Catholic Church and was active in its Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Franklinville American Legion Auxiliary, a life member of the Ischua Valley Historical Society, and an Echo Meals-On-Wheels volunteer for over 15 years. She was active in Cub and Boy Scouts serving as a Den Mother. She was employed at Bartholomew’s Pharmacy for 30 years.
She is survived by her two sons – Anthony (Patricia) A. Amitrano Jr. of Chapel Hill, NC; Robert (Pamela Hage) P. Amitrano of Lyndonville, NY; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Rita M. Lickfeld.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Chapel Hill, NC, on Friday, November 3rd at 10:30 a.m. with the Very Reverend Scott McCue, Pastor, presiding.
A gathering with the family will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023, in St. Philomena's Roman Catholic Church, 26 Plymouth Ave., Franklinville NY. A memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dennis Mancuso, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Prospect Cemetery in Franklinville.
