Richard Lucas, Jr.

Richard (Rick) Simons Lucas, Jr. aged 61, went to be with his heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Melissa; two daughters, Dori Adams (Skylar) of Greenville and Rachel Lucas of Asheville, and a son, Hunter Lucas of Salt Lake City and a step-son Dakota Mullins (Brittany) London as well as his father, Richard Simons Lucas (Mary Mac) and two sisters, Kim Coffman (Darryl) and Clarky Davis (Tim), and three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Weir Lucas and a sister, Simons Lucas.
Rick was born in Columbia, SC, grew up in Charlotte, and graduated from South Mecklenburg High School and Western Carolina University. He was employed by First Citizens Bank until his retirement.
A memorial service will be held at the City of Oaks Funeral Home, Raleigh, NC.
