Michael Conway

Michael Peter Conway, 48, of Apex, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Born on August 16, 1975, in Hartford, Connecticut, he was the beloved husband of Courtney Conway.

Michael leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his family, including his wife Courtney, mother Dyan Conway, his brother Ryan (Kelly) Conway and nephews Gavin, Justin, and Riley Conway. He was predeceased by his father, Frank Conway.

Michael’s life was marked by his unwavering commitment to service and helping others. He served in the U.S. Army and the Connecticut Army National Guard and fought in Kosovo and Afghanistan as an infantry squad leader. He was a full-time and later reserve police officer for more than nineteen years. He was devoted to his family, and had a tremendous heart and a compassionate spirit.

Friendly and outgoing, Michael always lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with the love of his life, Courtney, and his friends and family. Perhaps more than anything else he liked a good laugh. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michael’s memory to the Gary Sinise Foundation.
