In Loving Memory of

Jill Hall

Cary
,
North Carolina
Died:
April 11, 2025

Jill Mathis Hall was born in Tennessee on January 15, 1939 and died in North Carolina on April 11, 2025. She lived the majority of her life (ages 5 to 81) in Lafayette, Louisiana, where she worked side-by-side with Scotty Hall, her husband of almost 60 years, in the three businesses they created together. Former customers of Thrifty Way Pharmacy, Scotty Hall Hearing Aids, and the Uniform Shop surely remember Jill's beautiful smile and cheerful personality. Friends and relatives treasured her unassuming manner, optimism, and kind-heartedness. Everyone who took the time to really know Jill Hall is richer for it.

She was predeceased by her brother in 1963, her dear son Danny in 1995, her father in 1999, mother in 2004, and her husband Scotty in 2019. She is survived by her two daughters, Fay Lynn Cavalier of New Iberia, LA and Jena Costello of Cary, NC, as well as six grown grandchildren. Jill laughed as easily at 85 as she did when she was a teenager. She will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

The family will appreciate any stories or fond memories you may choose to share. According to Jill’s wishes, there will be no funeral. Her cremains will be buried with Scotty’s, together in Danny’s grave at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

To honor Jill’s memory, you might choose to give a monetary gift to someone in need, as she was known to do. Memorial donations can be made to the American Brain Foundation or to Jill’s favorite charity, Disabled American Veterans. Acknowledgements go to Jena Costello.
