Barbara Flynn Riggs

July 13, 1944 - April 27, 2025

Barbara Flynn Riggs passed away on April 27th, 2025 in Raleigh, NC while in the care of WakeMed Hospital. She was born on July 13th, 1944 in Dayton, OH to Christine Tabor Flynn and Jerry C. Flynn, Sr. Barbara's growing up years were spent in Knoxville, TN. After years of working in real estate administration, Barbara and her children moved to Raleigh, NC where she pursued occupations in real estate and food service brokerage. She and her husband, Lester, spent many wonderfully fun years playing golf together with friends and cousins, making many friends along the way. Barbara was also a faithful member of Christ Baptist Church.

Barbara is predeceased by her parents, Christine and Jerry Flynn. She is survived by her loving husband, Lester Stancil Riggs; her son, Gregory J. Scott (Lynn); daughter Angela R. Scott; granddaughter Eddy Marie Rich (Cody); grandson Tabor Scott (Shyanne); great-grandson Kaiden Scott and great-granddaughters Kinsley and Riley Rich.

A graveside service will be held at Raleigh Memorial Park in the mausoleum chapel, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC on Thursday, May 1st at 1pm. A private family viewing will be held prior.
