Danny Neal Collard

Danny Neal Collard passed away on March 29, 2026 at his home in Cary, North Carolina, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 5, 1945, to the late William and Leora Collard.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Boyce and David Collard, and his sister, Barbara Stinson.

Danny is survived by his devoted son, Craig A. Collard, and his wonderful daughter-in-law, Susan; his adoring grandsons, Jordan (Amanda), Austin, and Seth; his precious granddaughter, Ava; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Timmie Green, Sharon Holland, and Sheila Jacobs (Michael), along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

He also leaves behind his former wife, Sharon Collard, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage and a continued close and loving bond. Their deep devotion to their only child, Craig, was at the heart of their enduring connection. Craig’s life and character remained a constant source of pride. Sharon lovingly cared for Danny as his devoted caregiver and remained by his side in his final days.

Danny’s lifelong passion for music was fulfilled through many years as the lead singer of the Tymes Band in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.
He was best known for his beautiful falsetto voice and his love of the craft.

Danny was a truly wonderful man—liked by all, loved by many, and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at Prestonwood Country Club, Saturday April 11th from 3-6.
