Jacqueline "Jackie" House Carter

Jacqueline House Carter, 71, went to be with her Lord Jesus CHrist on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Oxford Nursing and Rehab in Oxford NC.

"Jackie" was born August 6, 1954 to parents James Albert (Jack) House and Katie Locke House. She grew up on the family farm in Lawrenceville, Virginia and was a graduate of Brunswick Academy. She moved to Henderson, NC in 1973. In recent years of declining health, she resided at Oxford Nursing and Rehab.

She loved sweet tea, warm summer days, and daffodils.

Survivors include a son, Edwin Lewis Bowen III, of Oxford; a sister Cindi Mullis (David) of Franklinton; a niece; several nephews, and several cousins.
