Obituary for Maryann Jeannette Munsell Greenwell

Maryann was born June 30, 1940. She entered into the loving arms of her Savior on April 18, 2022.

She was the only child of Laurence and Dorothy Munsell of Howell, MI. She leaves a legacy of love, laughter and dedication to family and friends. She was a 1958 graduate of Howell High School, attended Central Michigan University and received a master’s degree in Hospital Administration from Webster University. In her career of over 30 years as a hospital administrator, Maryann lived in several states and was privileged to meet many wonderful people. She lived a life of hope and optimism, which she shared with everyone.

Maryann is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Paul McDonough of Creedmoor, NC and her beloved grandson, PJ McDonough, also of Creedmoor, NC. She is also survived by dearly loved cousins of The Munsell Farm in Fowlerville, MI. She was also blessed by the unwavering love and support of bonus-granddaughter Carrie (Todd) Mattingly and their children of Williamsburg, KY.

A celebration of life will be held at Mt Olivet Baptist Church in Franklinton, NC on 4/23/22 at 11AM.

The family and Maryann have specifically asked that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to Heartland Hospice: 4505 Falls of Neuse Road, Suite 650, Raleigh, NC 27609-2523. She received outstanding care during her illness from the staff at Heartland. The family would specifically like to recognize her case manager, Tara; Nurses, Nina and Vincent; CNA's: Alyssa, Christina, and Gail; Social Worker, Emme; Music Therapist, Jacqueline; Massage Therapist, Amy.
