Robert Leslie Junk

Robert (Bob) Leslie Junk has gone to be with his Lord and savior on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. He was the only child to Robert Decker Junk and Cora Elizabeth Junk.  Born on April 18, 1944 in Clinton, Louisiana. He grew up in Reading, Ohio. He played many sports through High School but his favorite was baseball. He played first base for Ohio University. While in college, he met his love of his life and married Paula on September 2, 1964 and they recently celebrated 62 years.

Together they welcomed 3 children: Robert Michael Junk(Katy), Michelle Suzanne Underwood(Brent), and Mark Christopher Junk(Charisse). He leaves 6 grandchildren whom he deeply loved: Michael Ryan Junk, Cami Lynn Booker, Adison Rylee Underwood, Elizabeth Jill Junk, William Cole Underwood, Sarah Grace Underwood and one great granddaughter: Maisie Arwen Booker.

Bob had a successful career of sales and marketing which took his family to many wonderful states throughout the Midwest. Bob and Paula retired to Cary, NC in 2009.

Aside from spending time with his family and grandchildren, Bob and Paula loved to play golf together, traveling and watching his favorite college football team: The Ohio State Buckeyes.
