Roland Rioux

On Tuesday, January 18, 2022, Roland Rioux, loving husband, and father of 5 children, passed away at the age of 85. He resided in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Roland was French Canadian, born on April 28, 1936, in Quebec, Canada. He emigrated to Florida in 1975 and maintained his reputation of being a successful businessman in the electrical contracting field from Canada to the US. Roland always put God and Family first in all his endeavors, which instilled strong work ethic and family values in his progeny. He enjoyed travelling the US and abroad, dancing with his wife, and keeping up with the NHL and MLB. He was an admirer of the American west and often donned a pristine cowboy hat and boots for festivities.
He will be eternally remembered by Irene, his loving wife and best friend of 62 years, their Children; Gaetan (Donna) Rioux of Hendersonville, TN, Anne Beall (Norman Caron) of Raleigh, NC, Daniel Rioux of Raiford, FL, Francois Rioux of West Palm Beach, FL, and Alain (Nancy) Rioux of Jupiter, FL, grandchildren; Jean-Luc, Erica, Alexine, Brooke, Jake, Emma, Jayme, Sebastian, and Madison, great-grandchildren Abigail, Fletcher and Bellamy, siblings; Colette (Robert) Demers of Montreal, Canada and Roger Rioux of Quebec, Canada.
A private prayer service will be held at City of Oaks Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in his memory at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 28 at St. Catherine of Siena in Wake Forest, NC.
