Sidney F. Holmes, Jr.

Sidney Fuller Holmes, Jr., 78, died June 24, 2022, in Raleigh, NC. He is survived by his spouse, Linda Rudisill, and many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Sidney Fuller Holmes, Sr., his mother, Lelia Carroll Holmes, and his brother, Timothy W. Holmes.

Sid was born on August 21, 1943, in Raleigh, and attended elementary and high school in Zebulon, NC. He and his family attended Zebulon Baptist Church.

Sid was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam 1967-1968.

He had been employed by NC State University and served for many years as Assistant Director of the University's Administrative Computing Service.

Sid enjoyed spending Friday evenings as a football official with the NC High School Athletic Association. He was an avid reader of mysteries, and was an excellent cook.
