B. Somer Addison joined City of Oaks in 2016 and is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Since 2019, Somer has held the position of location manager helping to serve families and their loved ones throughout North Carolina. Somer prides herself on finding ways to adapt to changes in the funeral industry and public preference by implementing processes to make it as easy as possible for the families we serve.
Kelly Ary joined City of Oaks as an apprentice in May 2019, after volunteering with her local parish’s Funeral Ministry. Kelly earned her Funeral Director's license in October 2020, completing the required coursework and testing in under 18 months. Kelly takes great pride in being a source of calm and comfort for the families she assists in navigating the process of making final arrangements for their loved ones. Kelly's goal is to make the arrangement process as simple and bearable as possible for families.
Jessica came to City of Oaks in search of experience to fulfill course requirements while pursuing her Funeral Service education degree. During that time, Jessica showed such a dedication to the field she was asked to join the team full time. Jessica graduated from the Funeral Services program at Fayetteville Tech in 2022 and will be completing her embalming apprenticeship at City of Oaks while serving as a licensed Funeral Director. When Jessica is not in school, or at work, she can most likely be found searching for stray cats to rescue.
Christopher D. Weaver joined City of Oaks in 2018 and is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Chris being born and raised in the funeral industry takes pride in serving all. His overall passion is giving a family the closure they deserve through the art of embalming. He dedicates his time, and shares his gift to all families we encounter.
Gemma Castellanos se unió a Ciudad de Robles Funeral Home en 2019. Recientemente asumió el cargo de nuestra Coordinadora de Asuntos Internacionales. Su enfoque principal será ayudar a nuestro director de funeraria con la repatriación de personas a sus países de origen después de que haya ocurrido una muerte. Mike joined City of Oaks in early 2021, and as his title describes, brings with him many years of experience in the funeral industry. Mike excels at being able to quickly transition and assist all members of our team with varying tasks, and has quickly proven himself to be an essential team member.
Edward Kosmos wanted to simplify the difficult process of making funeral arrangements. With a solid 2.0 GPA, no prior experience and zero credentials in the death care industry Edward had to rely on his handsome smile, sparkling blue eyes and his charming personality. Edward’s unique “super hero” ability allows him to assist individuals through stressful and difficult moments by comforting them with sincerity and humor. This self proclaimed “World’s Okayest Funeral Director” is truly one of a kind.
