Arlene F. Jones

Arlene Jones was born on September 2, 1931, and died on January 1, 2023. She was 91 years
old. Mrs. Jones was predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine Fischer, her husband
Frank, her brothers Raymond, Robert, and John Fischer, and her grandson Russell Peter
Jones. Her three children and their spouses survive her: Russell and Lin Jones of Travelers
Rest, SC, Carole Magee and Phil Graham of Raleigh, NC, and Ellen and Brian Geddes of
Fuquay Varina, NC.

Mrs. Jones resided in Secaucus, NJ for 50 years before moving to Apex, North Carolina in
2011. Since moving, she has missed her two lifelong friends, Doris and Pat.

Arlene was an avid New York Yankees fan, a devout Catholic, a member of the Immaculate
Conception Church Choir, and an expert on diet and nutrition. She was a good friend to her
neighbors and she was able to drive her car and swim laps at her local pool until she was 89.
Arlene valued family over everything else and her grandchildren: Christopher, Jayne Lin, Krissy,
Russell, Kate, Jenny, Jack, Grace, Meghan, and Billy adored her. Over the past year, she was
able to meet all of her great-grandchildren: Amanda, Danny, Jase, Anaiyah, Jeremiah, Theo,
Savannah, Stella, Hezekiah, Indie, Hadley, and Boone.

She lived a full life and will be missed by all. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Bernadette’s
Roman Catholic church in Fuquay Varina, NC, where Arlene’s remains will be interred in the
church’s columbarium.
