James Norman Damon

James passed away on October 5,2022.
Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill for forty four years. He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne Farrell of fifty one years and son Jimi Damon, wife Clare Rolens and grandchildren Eleanor and Miles.
Jim was a long servicing member of the Newman Center, on UNC campus. Jim continued his research and involvement in Medical imaging , Chaos and Singularity Theory until his passing.
His family, neighbors and friends will remember him as a kind, loving and humble man and will be forever missed.
