Bobby Earl Peedin

Bobby Earl Peedin passed away after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease on September 25, 2021. He was under Transitions Life Care at home and surrounded by his family. He was born in Johnston County, NC on June 15, 1939 to Herman and Dora Peedin and grew up on a farm. He served in the US Air Force. He was employed by Winn-Dixie Stores for 20 years and managed Federal Point Yacht Club in Carolina Beach, NC for several years. His love for the ocean and fishing made this his dream job.
He was loved and respected by everyone he encountered. He had the ability to make you feel you were the most important person in the world. He was the perfect husband, daddy and papa. He loved his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Billy and Ralph and grandson Alan. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Rhonda, sons Micheal (Jo), Mark (Marian), and Robert (Chassity), and daughter Karen (Tim); sisters Carol and Lavern and brother Dwight. Papa loved his 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held on October 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Rawls Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina, NC. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in his memory to Rawls Baptist Church, Transitions Life Care of Raleigh, or the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
