Allison Blackmar Stutts

Allison is proceeded in her death by Clark Mason Stutts (son) and Gail Elizabeth Blackmar (mother). She is survived by Bob Blackmar, Father; Brothers :Tom (Lori) Blackmar and Craig Blackmar (Torrey) and niece Sarah Blackmar.

Allison devoted her career to working with children with developmental disabilities. She received her undergraduate degree from UNC- Chapel Hill and master's degree from NC Central University in Early Childhood Development. She worked at ARC of Orange County, public schools in Siler City, NC; US Airforce base in Heidelberg, Germany; US Airforce base in Dover, Maryland and public schools in Pheonix, Arizona.
Allison was an active member of Amity United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill, where she was the Outreach Coordinator, a member of church council, children’s ministry team and an active volunteer in the food pantry and clothing closet. She will also be remembered by friends in her extensive peer support community. A memorial service will be held at Amity United Methodist Church Friday, October 29 at 1:00pm. Pastor Donnie Jones, officiating.
