Pejavar Bhasker Rao

On Saturday November 13, 2021, Pejavar Bhasker Rao passed away at the age of 84, peacefully and at home surrounded by his loved ones. Bhasker was known for his unflagging zeal for calling family and friends to wish them well on birthdays and anniversaries. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, taking walks in nature, attending gatherings of friends and family, reading the newspaper and solving its daily crossword and Sudoku puzzles. Bhasker had a long career at IBM, both in India and the US, for over 30 years prior to his retirement. He served on the board and as a volunteer at the Hindu Society of North Carolina for many of the 41 years that he has lived in Raleigh, NC. Bhasker is survived by his wife Geetha, two children Rajesh (Rekha) and Kavita (Johann), and two grandchildren Arjun and Neel. A small private ceremony and last rites were conducted prior to cremation. His family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to a charity or cause of your choosing.
