Valerie Lorraine Rick Sienkwicz

Valerie Lorraine Rick Sienkwicz, age 62, passed unexpectedly at home on the morning of Sunday 12/12/2021.

Valerie was a long-term resident of Raleigh and is a beloved mother, sister, wife. She is survived by her son Micheal Sienkwicz, Raleigh, NC, daughters Jessica Sienkwicz, Raleigh, NC, Brittney Sienkwicz, New Orleans, LA, husband Peter Sienkwicz, Raleigh, NC, brothers Steven Rick, Cocoa Beach, FL, William Rick, Montgomery, NY, sister Vicki Rick Ascolese, West Palm Beach, FL, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Born 1/19/1959 in Chicago, IL and pre-deceased by parents Richard W. Rick and Lorraine Sabey Rick.

Valerie loved her job as a sonographer at NC Specialty Hospital. When not working she was fiercely dedicated to her family, friends, and church. She enjoyed every minute she could, spending her free time at the beach.

A private family viewing will be held on Friday and a memorial service will be held Saturday 1:00pm 12/18/2021 at her long time church, Millbrook United Methodist, 1712 E. Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609 and all are invited to a reception immediately following. The memorial service will be livestreamed through the Church website for anybody that is unable to attend.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers please make donations to the Methodist Home for Children in Raleigh.
