Norma J. Noel

Norma Jean Noel, 93, passed away quietly on January 18, 2022. Jean was born on December 10, 1928 to Emanuel and Katherine Lau in York, PA. She grew up in a loving family from whom she learned the value of hard work as she observed her parent’s example. After graduating from William Penn Sr. High School she worked several jobs over her working career including being the secretary and bookkeeper for Shiloh Nursery for over twenty years until her retirement. She was married to her loving husband, Richard, for 60 years. They raised three children, Richard (Cindy), Michael (Connie) and Holly. She provided a loving home atmosphere to her family throughout her life. Her kids and grandkids loved going to Grandma’s house. She and Dick maintained that love even when two of their kids moved to North Carolina where they frequently visited and eventually relocated in 2011. Jean was a lifelong member of Union Lutheran Evangelical Church and attended Cornerstone Fellowship Church her last three years. Besides her children she is survived by nine grandchildren, twenty- one great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way.
