Janie Campbell

Janie Ruth (Pittman) Campbell passed away at her home in Cary, NC on January 30, 2022. She was born in Waycross, Georgia on March 22, 1929 and moved to San Francisco after graduation from high school. She was married to Norman Campbell from 1952 until his death in 2010 and they raised their family in Southborough, Massachusetts. She moved to Cary, NC in 2015 where she met Charles Higginbotham. They were married on January 30, 2016. Janie owned a successful Century 21 real estate office in Southborough for many years. Upon retirement, she joined Wycliffe Bible Translators and spent time as a missionary in Papua New Guinea, Africa and Waxhaw, NC. Janie enjoyed traveling and especially visiting the National Parks. Janie loved First Baptist Church of Cary where she met Charles in a Sunday School class. She is survived by her husband, Charles Higginbotham, daughter and son-in-law, Kathie and Terry Vermouth, son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Dian Campbell, five grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Memorial service to be held on February 3, 2022 at 2pm and First Baptist Church of Cary.
