John Shofner

John Gordon Shofner, age 84 years, passed away on February 26, 2022 surrounded by his 3 daughters at Liberty Commons Nursing Facility in Benson, NC. He was born to the late Gordon Clayton Shofner, & the late Jenny Alice Coleman on July 23,1937 in Shelbyville, TN. He is survived by his wife Laura Lynn Driver Shofner, his three daughters Susan Shofner Jones (Bobby), Sherilyn Shofner and Jennifer Shofner Bullard (Troy). Mr. Shofner was survived by a brother, Dudley Shofner of Mullins, SC, and a sister Mabel Shofner Davis of Dallas, TX, in addition to numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Merle Shofner, and a son, Timothy Gordon Shofner.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00 with visitation one hour prior to service at Way of Life Baptist Church, 2100 Harmony Ct., Clayton, NC 27520.
