David Bauer

David K. Bauer passed away at age 62 on Saturday April 9th, 2022 due to Acute Myloid Leukemia while at Hospice in Raleigh, NC. His two children were at his side as he peacefully died. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on November 23rd 1959 to Eugene and Eileen (Segar) Bauer. David's father was in the air force, so he grew in several places, FL, CA, and NB, then graduated from high school in Dubois, IN. Continuing his education, he graduated from ISU and then received his Masters at UNC Chapel Hill, NC. Following that, he was offered and accepted a staff position for ambulatory care clinics on the UNC Hospital Administration Staff. He maintained this position until having a massive stroke in 2014 which prevented further employment. Even though his stroke prevented him from working, it allowed him to enjoy the retired life for the last 8 years. He is survived by his father Eugene and his wife Kimberly, his two children Kevin Bauer (Yasmine Salem) of Dubai, and his daughter Krystina Leitner (Jacob) of Raleigh, NC and four grandchildren Ibrahim, Layla, Liam and Mason. He also has a niece Shannon Bauer and nephew Danny Bauer of CA. Proceeding him in death was his mother Eileen and brother Darryl. Celebration of life services will be held at 3pm Friday April 22nd, 2022 at Cary Church, 107 Quade dr. Cary NC 27513. All relatives and friends are welcome to attend. Memorial Contributions will be made by the wishes of the family.
