Clark Hicks

DONNELL ‘CLARK’ HICKS
December 26, 1968 – June 9, 2022

Donnell ‘Clark’ Hicks, Mr. Fix-it, music maker, and rambling man, left this earth on Friday, June 9, 2022.

Clark was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, 6-minutes after his twin brother, Dennis ‘Mark’ Hicks, to their late parents, Willie D. and Rebecca ‘Ann’ Hicks. He hung his hat in the Carolinas, leaving his mark in Charleston, SC and the Raleigh, NC area. In 1994 he was blessed with his daughter, Brittany A. Hicks, and a few years later by his son, Tyler S. Hicks.

He was a jack-of-all-trades. Whether it be building a brand-new chicken coop or a broken carburetor, he knew what to do and was on it before you could ask for help. There were only a handful of things that Clark couldn’t fix in a heartbeat with duct tape and zip ties.
He loved music, everything from the Eagles to Alanis Morrisette, you could find him belting it out with his guitar in hand. Everywhere he went, he made people smile. From his singing, antics, or outlook, he was a feel-good person.

Clark is survived by his beloved children, siblings, nieces, aunt, and cousins. He will be reuniting with his parents, uncle, and grandparents.

We will be holding a wake in remembrance of Donnell ‘Clark’ Hicks on Friday, June 17, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5060 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC, 27609 at 2pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in Charleston, SC at a later date.
