Nellie (Nell) Adams, 87, passed away under hospice care on June 9, 2022 in Raleigh, NC after a long
battle with Alzheimer’s Dementia. She was preceded in death by her husband Morris (Bob) Adams, her
parents Austin and Rebecca Bowman, her brothers Ozzie and Elbert, and her sisters Betty and Cecile.
Nell is survived by her son, John C. Adams; daughter-in-law, Mandi; grandsons, Justin and Dylan;
granddaughter, Avery; and her brother, Wayne Bowman.

Having attended Kernersville High School and Jones Business College, she held multiple jobs at private
companies and churches providing accounting and receptionist services. However, her favorite job in
her career was working at the YMCA in Asheville, NC as an office manager. Nell was an expert
seamstress and had a strong passion for home decoration, always with a long list of “to do” projects.
She was a loving wife and mother. Nell lived a long and fulfilling life; she will be missed.
At Nell’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
