Wallace Jones

Wallace Gupton Jones, 87, died peacefully July 13, 2022 at home on the Jones Family Farm where he resided with his son, Wally Jones, daughter-in-law, Christina Jones, and grandchildren Samuel and Mary-Charlie Jones. He is also survived by his daughter, Jill Jones Murr (Brian Jacobson) and grandchildren Griffin and Brennan Murr.
Wallace was born on March 6, 1935 in Wake County, NC. He retired with 30 plus years of service with the N.C. Department of Transportation. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, camping with his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Moody Jones. Wallace was always known for his kind, gentle spirit and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held July 19, 2022 at 10:00 am with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am at Zebulon Baptist Church in Zebulon, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Zebulon Baptist Church Juniors Ministry.
