Matthew Flanary

Matthew "Matt" Alan Flanary, age 38, passed away on October 7, 2022 in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina. He was born on December 26, 1983 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Cecele and Wm. Rodney Flanary.
Matt was a gentle giant, who never met a stranger. He was a loyal friend and coworker. He loved music and movies and bringing a smile to others with his quirky sense of humor. Matt enjoyed hunting and the outdoors, especially in northern Michigan.
Matt's interests were varied. He was a talented french horn player and drum major in the high school band. He was a trained firefighter and participated in a paranormal investigative group.
Family was important to Matt, including his brothers, Patrick (Myrta) and Sean, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces/nephews.
Matt has been cremated and his ashes will be sprinkled at a private family celebration of his life.
