Kenneth Boodey

Kenneth (“Ken”) Boodey, a long-time resident of the Franklinton, North Carolina, died peacefully November 5, 2022 surrounded by his close family. He was born in 1941 and was the son of Rollin and Mary Boodey. Ken ran a backhoe service (KenSu Services, Inc) for many years and was co-trainer of Ingleside Farm with his wife Sue until 1991, when their daughter Heather took over as trainer. Ken most enjoyed going to the barn every day to help out and fishing.
Ken never met a stranger. He was a positive example to many he touched. He leaves behind his wife Susan Boodey and daughter Heather Boodey, as well as his grandchildren Seth (Brooke) Champion, Emma (Noah) Allen and Hannah Champion, and their mother Deanna Champion.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 13th from 1-3pm at the house. The family requests memorial gifts be made in lieu of flowers to Amedisys Hospice of Franklinton, Saddlebred Rescue or UPHA.
