Cynthia (Cindy) Kay Thompson

Cynthia (Cindy) Kay Thompson, 65, of Apex, NC, passed away peacefully at her residence December 16, 2022.

Born February 10, 1957, in Park River, ND she was the daughter of the late Emmett (Slim) Thompson and Lorraine Alice Thompson (Johnson).

She is survived by her three children, David Coley of Hebron, KY, Melissa Coley of Yorktown, TX, and Stephen Coley of Orange County, NC; a sister, Kristie Thompson of Fargo, ND, Brian Thompson of Park River, ND, and late brother David Thompson of Park River, ND; and four grandchildren, Trevor, Alexis, Nicholas, and Arabella.

After graduating with a degree as a LPN from North Dakota State School of Science, she went on to serve many years as an excellent nurse and caregiver, as her passion for taking care of people was always important to her throughout her life.

Cindy was best known for her large personality and had a laugh that was contagious and infectious to anyone around her.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date with a service to be held in both Raleigh, NC and Park River, ND.
