Francis Bailey

Francis John Bailey, age 77, of Clayton North Carolina entered into eternal rest on February 4, 2023, with his devoted wife of 44 years, Edna holding his hand at SECU Hospice House of Smithfield, North Carolina.

In addition to his wife, Fran is survived by his loving daughter Leslie (Shawn) Smith, treasured granddaughters Ryan and Teagan Smith, sister Victoria ( Dan) Cass, Colin (Irene) Bailey, and sister Beth (Carl) Chalek. He is predeceased by his parents Francis and Madelon Bailey, sisters Joan Cass and Constance Krause, and his beloved brother-in-law and best friend in life, Ronald Goodwill.

Special thanks are extended to Fran’s brother-in-law Don and his wife Leatha Goodwill for their unwavering support at a difficult time.

Arrangements are by the City of Oaks Funeral Home, Raleigh, NC., and are at the convenience of the family.
