Gabrielle Hamed

Gabrielle Nora Hamed, known to many as “Gabby”, was born August 5, 1998 in Okinawa, Japan and passed on March 6, 2023 at the age of 24.
She is the youngest of three, survived by her older brother Roger Alan Hamed II, 30, older sister Annalyn Mary Hamed, 25, mother Nora Jacosalem Hamed, 53, and father Roger Alan Hamed, 55.
Growing up in a military family, Gabby and family lived overseas a majority of her life and settled in North Carolina in 2015. Her favorite place in the world was Japan, having been born there and spent most of her childhood growing up there. Many fond memories are held amongst her family and siblings of exploring the countryside of Japan and enjoying the beautiful culture there.
Gabby earned her Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology and had a deep passion for cars and motorcycles. She loved her Subaru wagon and two Lexus, all of which were as unique as her. She always dreamed of owning a motorcycle and made that dream a reality when she completed her motorcycle class and bought her Honda CBR500R.
Gabby always loved animals and spent her adult life taking in many beloved pets, she leaves behind a husky-Akita named Appa, two cats named Kuro and Niku, a chinchilla named Kumo, and several aquariums of fish.
Gabby was one of a kind and everything she loved, she loved deeply and fiercely. Gabby always lived life to the fullest and on her terms, she listened to her heart and followed it everywhere. She enjoyed traveling, all kinds of food and absolutely adored Japanese culture. She was incredibly creative, empathetic, and intelligent. She didn’t care what anyone else thought of her and was unapologetically herself. She was the life of the party, incredibly hilarious and outgoing. She protected her family and friends and was always there whenever you needed her. She and her sister Anna always had each other, being 11 months apart, they grew up together and were each other’s best friend.
Gabrielle is deeply, devastatingly missed and will never be forgotten by those who had the opportunity to know her.
