Eileen Michelle Lavery

Eileen Lavery passed away on April 1, 2022, at age 22. She will be greatly missed by her mom Monica, siblings Kristen, Kevin and Eric, the Yeager/Barker cousins in Ohio, and friends. Eileen struggled for many years with Mental Illness and the search for treatment. We are anguished that her illness exhausted her will to live in this world, and we will always remember her unique spirit, and her efforts to live out her dreams.
Eileen graduated from Leesville High School in 2018, where she played French Horn in band and was Color Guard Captain. She also played violin, trumpet, and keyboard. After High School, she took classes at UNC, and ventured to Atlanta Georgia for a year, where she developed online content and acted locally. She also studied film acting at New York Film Academy. Eileen was curious and bright, and loved exploring diverse topics from Astronomy to K-drama. She was a surfer, dancer, photographer, makeup artist, and holiday decorator/baker. She was also a gifted painter whose work expressed her love of nature and fantasy. Eileen noticed the tiniest shells on the beach, as well as when a friend needed her to help lighten their day.
Eileen's Memorial Service will be non-religious and informal, and will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday June 8th, beginning in the chapel of the main building at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue Raleigh, followed by a time for sharing memories and stories nearby where Eileen will be laid to rest.
