Josephine (Jo) Robertson

Josephine (Jo) Robertson passed away on May 11, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born on October 13, 1928 in Fayette County, West Virginia, to the union of Oran and Beulah McCallister. In 1947, Jo graduated from St. Albans High School and married her husband, Raymond Robertson. They adopted their only child, Jill, in 1961. Jo moved to Hurricane, West Virginia in the early 1960’s, where she resided for many years. In the late 1980’s, she and her husband relocated to Bay Tree Lakes, North Carolina. In her final years, she resided in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Throughout her long life, Jo enjoyed gardening, crafts, and home arts. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and with her daughter. In addition, she actively participated in church activities and community service projects. Jo was predeceased by her parents, Oran and Beulah McCallister, and by her husband, Raymond Robertson. She is survived by her daughter and daughter’s partner (Jill Grant and Daniel Good); her sister (Janet Fisher); and many nephews and nieces. A family-oriented service will take place in West Virginia at a later date.
