Julia "Dee" Booth

Julia “Dee” Booth, 62, passed away on 06/28/2023 in Hospice care after a short battle with Lymphoma. Dee was a loving wife, friend and an artistic person. She is survived by her husband Matt Bray, her mother Julia Booth, her aunt, Susan Stevenson, her uncle, Rod Hudgins and her two dogs, Bristol and Darly.

Dee was born in Portsmouth, Va. and grew up in Poquoson,Va., where she was one of the first women to receive a certificate of completion from the CAD (Computer Aided Design) apprenticeship program at Newport News Ship Building. She spent the better part of her career working for the pharmaceutical industry as a CAD designer for mechanical systems.

Dee was known for her warm and bubbly personality, her infectious laugh and was always willing to help others and bring joy to all occasions. She was preceded in death by her father Bill, who taught her to sail which initiated her love for the ocean and being outdoors. Even though her transition from life on this earth came much too early, the celebration of her wonderful life will be shared by many for years to come.
