Terry L. Shaffer

Terry Lee Shaffer was born in York, PA to Gloria and Norman Shaffer on December 4, 1945. He graduated West York High School in 1963, where he was a star athlete on the cross country team and member of the school band. He attended York College and then served in the US Navy as a Yoeman before earning his BS in business administration from Old Dominion University. Terry joined Kimberly-Clark in 1972 until he retired in 2000. He spent the next 20 years working various roles within several grocery stores, including Winn-Dixie and Food Lion. Terry loved to talk about his hometown of York PA, share stories of family members with anyone who would listen, especially of his pride in his grandsons, and was always there to deliver a dad joke.
Terry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Diane Shaffer; daughter Alice Shaffer; son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Ashley Shaffer; stepson and daughter-in-law Chris and Kendal Rasor; brother and sister-in-law Ken and Sandy Shaffer; sister Janice Shaffer; sister Christine Shaffer; grandchildren Atticus and Holden Shaffer, Colin and Wyatt Rasor; several nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends.
