Phyllis Purer

Phyllis Purer, age 88, of Fuquay Varina, NC, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023.

She was born April 11, 1935 to Gladys and William H. Mahon. She was raised in Southwest Nebraska, but lived the majority of her life in Lynn Haven, Fl.

She worked as a teacher, librarian, and bookkeeper. Phyllis was a master gardener and enjoyed reading and bird watching.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Al Purer, and her sister, Mary A. Leidy.

She is survived by her daughters Karen (Rick) Junkin and Ronda (Steve) Miles; five grandchildren, Nick Junkin, Kyle Junkin, and Anna Junkin, Rebecca Miles, and Eric Miles; Also, one sister, Nancy Freehling and her special friend, Harry Waters.

A private memorial and internment are planned.
