Derek Gene Camp

Derek Gene Camp, 34, of Franklin, NC passed away October 22, 2023. He was born in Kissimmee, FL, but resided in Franklin, NC. He was the son of, mother, Terrie Kendrick (spouse Clyde Kendrick) and, father, Mark Camp (significant other Crystal Harden). Derek graduated with a GED, believed in Jesus and was a member of West Franklin Church when he was younger and attended at The Walk Skateboard Ministry, was active in the local skateboard community, and was an big fan of Alabama football (Roll Tide!).

Derek is survived by his Mother, Terrie Kendrick , Father, Mark Camp, and Brother Danny Camp, one niece, Alivia Gibbs, Aunt and Uncle Ricky and Dede Dills, Aunt Lisa Sherrill, cousins: Seth Dills (Danielle Dills), Jackie Timmons (Tyler Timmons), and Krystin Sherrill.
Derek was preceded in death by Grandparents Dan and Betty Sherrill, Grandparents Gene and Betty Camp, and Uncle Charlie Sherrill.

There will be a memorial service that will be announced at a later date.
