Wade Gowers

Wade Allan Gowers passed away on October 28, 2023 with his wife by his side after a three year battle with bladder cancer. Wade was 48.

Wade was born on February 24, 1975 in Ontario, Canada to parents Dave and Mary Gowers. He spent his childhood and attended university in Ontario as well, eventually making his way to North Carolina. Wade worked as a professional land surveyor and with business partners founded a land consultant company, developing it into a thriving business serving the Triangle area. He was a beloved boss due to his unrivaled work ethic and dedication to the company and his employees who also became his friends. He was a lifelong hockey player and enthusiast and could often be found cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes unless they were playing his beloved Detroit Redwings. Wade always had natural athletic ability and loved to play a variety of sports but golf was by far his favorite pastime. A few rounds at the golf course with friends and family was his idea of the perfect weekend. Wade also enjoyed traveling with his family, particularly to tropical and coastal locations, spending time on the beach was his happy place. Mac the English cream retriever became a new furry family member almost two years ago and Mac brought much love and fun to the household along with lots and lots of fur. Wade was comforted with many snuggles from his furry baby who always seemed to sense when some extra love was in order.

Wade Gowers is survived by his loving wife, Kelly Linton Gowers; son, Logan Gowers; stepson, Brayden Elliott; parents, Dave and Mary Gowers; and brother, Shawn Gowers.
