Isabel Garcia

It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Isabel Garcia on February 29, 2024, in Cary, North Carolina at the age of 98. Isabel was born on May 10, 1925, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Lived there for many years then moved to New York, where she got married. She moved to Puerto Rico in 1967 with her family and to Jacksonville, Florida in 2006 to live with her daughter when her husband deceased. Then moved with daughter to Cary, NC in 2018 to be closer to granddaughter and share the remaining years in family.

Predeceased by her husband Alfred J. Perez. Left to carry on Isabel’s legacy is her beloved daughter, Marissa Thompson and her granddaughter, Chante M. Thompson along with family and friends.

She enjoyed flowers and gardening when she could and she loved Bella her fur baby. She worked many years in Hotel Hospitality. She was kind, loving, compassionate, supportive and giving, and always available to help in any way she could. She dedicated her life to service.

In accordance with Isabel’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. Instead, let us honor her memory by embracing her vibrant spirit, enduring kindness, and the profound impact she had on each of our lives.
