Brenda Dean Wilder

Mrs. Brenda Dean Wilder, 76,of Butner NC, passed away Friday,May 3, 2024 at the Hock Family Pavilion hospice facility in Durham.
Born in Durham NC on March 16, 1948 she was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Dean and Aleene Hardison Dean. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Morris Elliott Wilder, two brothers, Gary and Tommy Dean and a sister, Phyllis Merritt. She is survived by a son Johnny Wilder (Paula) and grand daughter Jordyn, four nieces Leslie Osteen, Susan Turner, Angela Wall, and Barbara Winters. A nephew, Alan Wilder and many cousins. Brenda was a special person and if you knew her you loved her. She loved anything outdoors but fishing was her passion before she fell sick. She was always willing to help and always had a kind word for anyone she came across. She loved to sing bluegrass music with her husband and pick her banjo. She will be missed dearly. Her profession as a lifelong hairdresser yielded many close relationships and touched many lives. Her customers were just like family to her and she had the same clientele throughout her career. There will be a memorial service on Thursday, May 9 at the First Baptist Church at 200 West D street in Butner at 1pm and visitation and food at the church directly after.
