Eleanor Crissman

Eleanor Joanne Crissman (Catherman), 90, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, in Pittsboro, NC.

Eleanor was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 5th, 1933. She was the oldest sibling and daughter of Kathryn Isabelle Kauffman and Albert George Catherman.

Eleanor's life was marked by her profound love for her family and pets. Her love and appreciation for music stemmed from her high school years in which she was actively involved in her high school chorus. Her hobbies included home decoration and gardening.

Eleanor was known for her welcoming nature, often making neighbors and friends feel right at home. Her light-hearted laugh and ability to not take herself too seriously will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She was a devoted member of her local Presbyterian Church, where she found much solace and community.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn Isabelle Kauffman, her father, Albert George Catherman and her brother, Jay Albert Catherman.

Eleanor is survived by her loving daughters, Karen Sacchetti and Dianne Sacchetti as well as her loving brother, Robert Haven Catherman. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and an appreciation for the beauty in life's simple pleasures.
