Michael Bumpass

Michael Andrew “Andy” Bumpass, born on Nov. 9,1966 in Athens, Ohio passed away August 22, 2024. He was a 1985 Graduate of Athens High School. After graduating High School, Mike (Andy) went on to join the Air Force where he started a career in IT. He was a member of the Air Force for 10 years. Mike (Andy) worked for MetLife for the past 9 years. Mike (Andy) met his wife Angel Petty in Montgomery, Alabama and married on July 11th, 1997. Mike (Andy) loved his family and especially being a father. He loved coaching his kids’ sports teams, playing darts with his friends, and watching all sports, especially Ohio State football. He enjoyed game and movie nights with his family. He also loved summer night concerts, family vacations to the Florida beaches and Appalachian Mountains, and singing songs. He loved his pet English bulldogs Lola, Dixie, and Maggie.
He is preceded in death by his father Dudley Bumpass and his sister Beth Tremusini. He is survived by his wife Angel Bumpass, his children Kali Bumpass, Cade Bumpass, Kaycee Bumpass, his parents Ann & Jim Wilhelm, his sister and brother in law Lynne and Dale Pittman, and many nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held in his honor at City of Oaks.
