Frank is survived by his first wife Cynthia Diane Jeans and his son, Brian (Lynnette) Ashburn of Louisburg, NC, his grandchildren: Tiffany (Nate) Clark of Franklinton, NC, Krystal (Mason) Hurt of Youngsville, NC and Darian (Kaitlyn) Ashburn of Franklinton, NC, his great-grandchildren: Ryleigh, Maverick, Morrison and Stella Hurt, Eva Ashburn and another great-granddaughter due any day now, his sister Sandy Heise, his nephew: George Ashburn of Reynoldsburg, OH along with several other family members in Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Grant and Evelyn Fern (McIntire) Ashburn, his brothers, Grant, Glenn, and Sammy, and sister, Fern.
