Emily Rose Morgan Kelly

Emily Rose Morgan Kelly, loving mother, grandmother and GG died at the age of 89 on Monday October 7, 2024, at 11:30 am at Wilson Pines Rehab, Wilson NC. She is survived by her daughters Michelle Jarrell, Sharon Lewis (Wayne), and Karen Kelly, her daughter-in-law Cindy Vick, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; her brother Bennie Morgan and sister-in-law Sandra Morgan. She is predeceased by her sons Michael Kelly, Gene Vick and Tim Kelly; her parents Columbus & Bessie Morgan; her brothers Wilbur Morgan (Dixie), and Ted Morgan; her sister Faye M. Cone (Kenneth); her sisters-in-law Jeanette W. Morgan and Louise Morgan Rizk (Sam). Memorial Service to be held Friday, October 11th at 1:00 - Samaria Baptist Church, Middlesex NC. Visitation immediately following in CLC.

Emily, born & raised in Samaria, attended Samaria Baptist Church and later Middlesex Church of God. Music and playing the piano were her passion and she held the positions of Adult Choir Director, Youth Choir Director & Pianist. Emily who enjoyed gardening and was blessed with a green thumb could always be found outside working in her yard. She was a great cook and was famous for her chocolate pies. Emily loved to travel and visited 49 states which included Alaska & Hawaii, the Bahamas & Costa Rica. Emily laughed, sang, danced, enjoyed life and loved her family. She will be missed!
