Kathy Finch Nichols

Kathy Finch Nichols of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on July 19, 1953, Kathy was the daughter of the late Lewis and Jerri Nichols and the beloved sister of the late Greg Nichols.
Kathy was a devoted mother and is survived by her son, Lewis Jones, and his wife, Nicole Jones, her daughter, Grayson Baird, and her husband, Brian Baird. She took immense pride and joy in her family and her grand dogs, who brought her great comfort and companionship over the years.
Kathy dedicated more than three decades of her life working in the Radiology and Sonography Departments at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. She was a valued colleague, known for her kindness, dedication, and caring spirit toward her patients and coworkers.
Outside of work, Kathy cherished her time at the beach. She especially loved Cherry Grove Beach. The warm sunshine on her face and the feeling of sand beneath her feet brought her great peace and joy. Kathy had a beautiful smile that would light up any room. She will be deeply missed by all that loved her.
A private funeral service will be held for family and close friends at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Raleigh on October 29th at 11:30am.
