Richard Wayne Leagan

Richard Wayne Leagan, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024. He was born on October 22, 1952 in Raleigh, NC. He was the son of the late John William Leagan and Ida Landon Leagan. In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by his two brothers, William Henry Leagan II and David Leagan. He
graduated from Garner High School and the University of Maryland. He worked as a radio announcer before joining ABC television in Washington, D.C. In later years he taught English as a second language. The staff at the Laurels of Forest Glenn in Garner often spoke of his kindness and cooperative attitude. He is survived by a nephew, William Jeffrey Leagan; a niece, Tricia Renee Daniels; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Whitaker as well as several great nieces and nephews. There will be a private family service in the future.
