Richard (Ricky) Scott Johnson

Richard Scott Johnson (Ricky), of Siler City passed away on November 23, 2024, at the SECU Jim and Betsy Bryan Hospice Home in Pittsboro, NC.
Ricky was born in Pittsboro to Richard Edward Johnson (Edd) and Mildred June Kropff Johnson on December 9, 1962. He worked as a carpenter for many years until an accident caused him to no longer do the job he loved. He continued to work with wood doing various projects in and around his house and his shop. He enjoyed working on and repairing older vehicles including a Harley Davidson in hopes to get them back on the road. He had joy and excitement the last two weeks of his life thinking about the granddaughter he hoped to be able to meet.
Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Edd Johnson, and mother, Mildred Johnson.
Ricky was survived by his son, Harley Edward Johnson and daughter-in-law, Holly; sister, Renee Johnson Williams; and, nephew, Julius Alexander Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SECU Jim and Betsy Bryan Hospice Home @ 100 Roundtree Way, Pittsboro, NC 27312.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Hospice House. They were very attentive to Ricky’s needs and assisted the family through the final stages. The family is also grateful for the love, compassion, and support of Ray Gooch. Ricky enjoyed his visits and the family appreciated having him there when Ricky’s journey ending
