Deborah Taylor Teague, born on September 18, 1954, passed away peacefully at home on December 5, 2024, in Franklinton, North Carolina, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, Deborah was cherished for her kindness, friendliness, and infectious love of laughter.

Deborah was the beloved wife of Samuel L. Teague II, with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage. Together, they built a family filled with love and warmth. She is survived by her son, Dexter, and daughter, Staci, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy continues through her three grandsons, D'Angelo, Telvin, and Javian, and her great-grandson, Emari, who brought her immense happiness.

Deborah was preceded in death by her son, Samuel L. Teague IV, whose memory she held dear, and her brother, Melvin. The fifth of eight children to Edwin and Martha Taylor, she is also survived by her four brothers, Norman, Tyrone, Vincent, and Lloyd, and her two sisters, Sandra and Jannetta, with whom she shared a close and loving bond.

A proud member of the Suncoast High School class of 1972, Deborah maintained lifelong friendships with many of her classmates. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a dedicated member of Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, where she participated in numerous church activities, and found community and spiritual fulfillment.

Deborah's life was a testament to the power of love and laughter. Her warmth and generosity touched all who knew her, leaving a lasting impact on her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
