Franklin Sparks

Franklin Sparks passed away of December 15th, 2024 at Brighton Gardens in Raleigh, North Carolina after an 11 year battle with brain cancer. Frank was born in Springfield, MA and grew up in Titusville, PA followed by Clifton Park, NY. He received his Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Geneseo, then enjoyed a long and successful career as a retail manager with CVS. He transferred to Raleigh to enjoy the warmer weather. In 2020 he received CVS's Paragon Award and he was also recognized for 25 years of service. Frank loved the theater and travelling, especially cruising. Frank is survived by his mother, Linda Sparks, sister, Kim Sparks, her partner Gabriel Knittle, and four cats that he adored.

A memorial service is being planned for mid January. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke.
