Tim was born in Greensboro, NC to Walter and Nellie Turner and grew up in Summerfield, NC. He was 1 of 10 siblings, 7 girls and 3 boys. Tim attended and graduated from Northwest High School in 1969. Shortly after, he was drafted into the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He then made a career, proudly serving this country while traveling the world for 21 years, then finally retiring 1992 as a Yeoman First Class. After the military, Tim enjoyed taking road trips, capturing photos of the beautiful country he so freely served, and living out some things he had only dreamed of doing. Tim is preceded in death by his devoted, loving wife and high school sweetheart, Patricia, his parents Walter and Nellie Turner, and several siblings. Those left to remember him: his daughters, Amanda Turner, Kari Quinto, and Tabitha Shipley. Stepchildren; Stephen and Julia Franklin. Grandchildren; Ray Shipley, Jaxon Senter, Jemma Craney, Sophie Senter, and JJ Quinto. Also, several siblings and an assortment of nieces and nephews.

We love you so much and remember, it’s not goodbye, we’ll see you down the road.

Memorial Service will be held for Tim Turner on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Guilford Memorial Park at 1:00 PM.
